To our valued
supporters,
In 2006, Junior Achievement of
British Columbia (JABC) created the Business
Laureates of BC Hall of Fame to
honour business leaders who have made
outstanding contributions to our province and
country.
The Hall of Fame stands as a testament to
the positive legacy the Laureates provide to
enterprising youth of British Columbia.
In early November, we lost one of
our inaugural Business Laureates, Dr. Donald
Rix. Dr. Rix became a strong
supporter of Junior Achievement (JA) and
ultimately created an endowment leaving
us a legacy of business excellence. As part of
this generous gift, JABC will now be offering
a scholarship in Dr. Rix's name, and starting this
year it will become part of our Annual Awards and Scholarships
Program. The program plays an
important role in inspiring and rewarding students
who have achieved
success while participating in
JA.
I encourage all those who work
directly with our JA youth to pass
on information about applying for these
scholarships. You can find out more by
reading this month's
newsletter.
Once again, thank you for all your
continued support.
Sincerely,
 Jan
